College topic

Post by Jkwaffle on Sat Apr 04, 2015 7:28 pm

Most of us here are getting to the point where we're fixing to graduate and go off to college, or have already begun life after high school. So, what's the game plan? If you know where you're going to college, feel free to talk about it here, tell us your major, etc. If you're still not sure, you can also use this topic to ask questions to people who have already applied, and see if they can help you make a decision. Even if you don't plan on going to college, you can say here what you plan on doing after graduating. Also, feel free to tell us your expectations for life after high school, and what you want to do/get involved in.

Kewl topic. And it includes us non-college folks!
I guess I'll start off with something Razz

I've resently finished all my academics for highschool and practically graduated. Just need my PE credit. And nope, not going to college.

As for planning on the next stage in life, gotta get a job (hopefully at a custom saddle shop) and continue working with horses, getting my books published and also start to maybe work with military vets and horses.

Joe I'm jealous of you, you'll be living the life 3:<

I haven't reached that point, but I'm getting closer to it by the day. I don't know a college I'd like to go to, or even if I want to go to college. I just want to find a place where I can either illustrate books, or do 2-D animation.

But you're a raccoon! Aren't raccoons good at that? Razz

In all seriousness, what do you actually want to do?

Oh, I see. Very clever. Razz

Well I will try pursuing my voice acting career. Hopefully I can do that without graduating, since I've come to a halt with my education.

Here in Ireland things work through a points system so really the course I will get depends on so many variables. My intention is do Maths & Physics as it will give me a wide amount of choice later on, maybe a career in politics later on in life but I don't think I could stand giving my life to that area as it's something I have too much interest in.

I am definitely planning on going to college, as most of the professions I am interested in require a college degree.

I am back! I was gone because of just this, actually. School (read: exam season) kicked my butt, and then robotics kicked in. I just graduated Friday. Razz

I'm going to Virginia Tech, hopefully to get some kind of engineering or a general architecture degree. But this year I'm focusing on getting the basic liberal education out of the way and knocking out electives.

Six months from now I'll be getting my IB Diploma, too. Razz I'll try to regain activity here, too.

Going to my college orientation Wednesday, where I'll also be picking my classes and getting my schedule. It's all coming up quick.

Just got back from orientation, got my schedule done and everything. Got it so I have a 3 day weekend, no classes Friday. Wednesdays though, I start class at 3 PM and have classes until 9:30 PM, that'll be weird.

That does sound a little odd, but still, great!

Ah that explains it. I thought you only get a fancy paper for graduating High School, and you get to wear the fancy hats in College.

Sorry about that. Razz
