The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies

I love this movie so much, I think the characters were portrayed amazingly well, and the interactions and character arcs were spot on. It had it's flaws, no doubt, but I can't help but feel the pros outweigh the cons this time around.
What did you think? Did you like the movie? Why or why not?

This will likely surprise no one, but... I boycotted this movie. I might get it out from the library or something, but I'm sooo not going to let Peter Jackson get any more money off of me. His crimes in Desolation of Smaug are too great for that. (And his crimes in an Unexpected Journey.)
However, there's a fan edit which apparently makes things follow the book fairly well, which I'll need to look into at some point. 4 hours long, so, it'll take up a free Saturday I think.

I've yet to see the movie, but I've heard very mixed views.

@JJ: I can understand that, and normally I'd agree, but for this movie I went in without trying to compare the movie and the books, and I really enjoyed it. That's just me, though.
@Arwin: It depends on the individual I guess. I honestly loved it, but again, that's only because I scrapped my book purist mentality. If you do compare though, then you're going to have a rough time imo. :/

MD: Agreed! I've somehow learned to just separate the two, or just act like its something totally different. If you don't compare them, then their actually really good enjoyable movies!
